Shirley Patton

1935 - 2025

Mrs. Shirley Jordan Patton ,age 90 of Old Highway 64 East Hayesville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday October 9, 2025 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Patton was born on August 13, 1935 in LaGrange, GA., the daughter of the late Allen Bill Jordan and the late Cleo Star Jordan. Shirely loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and especially her two Yorkies, Marisol and Meadow. While in high school she was very active in the Drama Club. She also spent time with her children growing up showing dogs for AKC shows as family outings. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, Critinton Lawrence Patton of Hayesville, a daughter, Cheryl Ann Patton and a brother, Lonnie Early Jordan. Mrs. Patton was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving Mrs. Patton are one daughter and son in law, Kimie and Crawford Mackey of Hayesville, three sons and two daughters-inlaw, Douglas and Lynn Patton of Spartanburg, SC., Michael Patton of Palm Springs, CA., Robert and Leanne Patton of LaGrange, GA., nine grandchildren, Christopher Davis, Whitney Whatley, Bayley Williams, Ashleigh Patton, Matthew Patton, Tiffany Patton, Hunter Patton, Hayden Patton and Hope Patton, eight great grandchildren, Layla, Kinsley, Ameilia, Lucas, Kyleigh, Bentley and Callen, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at later date. Interment will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to your favorite humane society or to the American Dementia Foundation in Mrs. Patton's memory.
