MARILYN MILLER Obituary

MARILYN MILLER Marilyn Suzanne Miller passed away quietly on April 2nd 2025 after a prolonged illness. She was a resident in assisted living at Discovery Village at Tampa Palms, Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Kossuth Albus and Edward Albus. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Thorley, and brother-in-law Lawrence Thorley of Wesley Chapel, Fl. and nieces Dr. Tammy Hickin of Pataskala, Oh., and Kimberly Doebereiner of Maineville, Oh. and nephews Scott Thorley of Cary, NC, and Dale Thorley of Knoxville, Tn. She is also survived by 10 grand nieces and nephews. Marilyn was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and attended Cass Technical High School. She worked for several years as church secretary at Unity Church in Detroit. She then moved to Los Angles, Ca., and worked in the movie industry for 37 years. She retired from Warner Brothers Studios and at the invitation of a close friend, visited Clayton, Al. She immediately fell in love with Clayton and spent 25 happy retirement years in her home on Eufaula Ave. She had a wide circle of friends, mostly affiliated with the garden club and the Methodist church. Only rarely would she miss the Tuesday morning coffee and breakfast meeting at the dime store. She and several friends were regulars at Abercrombies restaurant on Friday evenings. Marilyn will be remembered for her love of family and her loyalty and dedication to her friends.
