Arthur Bruyn Obituary
He was born on April 11, 1928, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to Jan and Erika (Hickmann) Bruyn. He married Nita Bruyn in Littleton in 2000.
Art served in the European navy. He was in the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Posse for seven years and worked in security at the Indian Hot Springs and at the Argo Mine. He was very friendly and very intelligent, and he enjoyed traveling, fishing and working with children at the Argo Mine. He loved spending time with his family.
Art is survived by his wife, Nita, of Idaho Springs; son Arthur Bruyn Jr.; sister Meta; brother Alfred; and longtime friends Vicky and Yamissia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the United Center in Idaho Springs.

There will be a potluck following the memorial service. Anyone who wants to bring a dish is welcome to do so.

Words simply cannot express just how very much I shall miss my fatherly friend and mentor. Such a rare and special human being whom I was so extremely blessed to come to know and enjoy. Thank you Arthur ... for your example of how to age with grace and patience. I will see you again soon enough!
