Thinking about a great friend a fellow Infantrymen. We were just kids straight out of high school. I had the pleasure to serve with you. Always did everything 100% . You never backed down whether it was from hard work or training you did it all. I remember an army term for getting disciplined they'd make you do push-ups until muscle failure to teach young guys a lesson. They'd call it "Getting Smoked" you could see the steam and sweat roll down our heads, especially early in the morning. I remember you told the sergeant in charge and I qoute "You can't smoke a rock" and I'm a rock. Boy did he try all of us were down and out and you just kept on going. Push-ups, sprints, legs kicks . You name it. You finally broke him once he saw there was No quit in you. There never was, you always lived a life full of service and commitment to the American way of life. Thank you

Five years ago on this very day,
The ultimate sacrifice you did pay.
Your second tour was far from home,
Unsure of the enemy and where they roam.
The news was wrenching with buckling knees,
Hoping the information was wrong Lord please.
For you will no longer trod on this earthly place,
But a comfort to know you can kiss GODS face!
Thank you Allen James Knop for giving your all,
Leaving your loved ones to answer the call.
We miss you and love you and will never forget,
This horrific and dreadful unpayable debt.

In Memory of Allen James ~ (Debra Estep)
November 23, 2008
Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Jason, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

I was thinking a couple days ago... that you were my age now when you passed, you were so much more mature and responsible than i am. I could not imagine going over seas and fighting for my country. You know I'm proud of you, always have been and always will be. I miss you more than words can express... but I find comfort when I tell your story, about what an amazing person you truley were. There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Hi Allen,
I can't belive it is coming closer to 2 years since you left us.I think of you every day.On your birthday the last 2 years I brought you Red White and Blue carnations.(your birthday was a day before mine.)This past Memorial Day I was marching in the parade with my lil Cub Scouts, and after words when we were at the ceromney as taps played and the 21 gun saulte went off,the tears came from my eyes as I thought of you and your ultimate sacrifice.I felt your presence and yor smile there with me.I see your pics daily in my house they are displayed with pride. This past April I also did A motorcycle run it was a ralley for the troops ride,I also felt you in my presence that day.As your name was called as a Fallen Hero I looked up to Heaven and knew that you were watching over myself and the other 10,000 Bikers who were there to support our war Heroes. You and your other fallen brothers and sisters from wars past and present are my true American Heros. You were an amazing youung man who was loved by all we will never forget and I know I will see you again.Rip Cuz.

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

We just learned of Spo Knop's passing. To his family, we are truely sorry. Todd was Allen's platoon sgt and squad leader in Texas. Allen was the one who kept them all laughing during those long 13 months. If any of his family wishes to contact us, we have some photos of Allen from his first tour in Iraq they may like to have. God Bless you.

Norm,Eileen,Brandon and Rachel and the rest of Allen's family,
I prayed for Allen every day. He held a very special place in my heart even though I only met him one time. I know he is now in the Glory of Jesus and happier than he has ever been! I love you like a sister Eileen.
