George Tucker Obituary

TUCKER, George L. "Sam," 82, passed away June 8, 2009. Born September 15, 1927, in Moultrie, Ga., he was a Tampa resident for more than 50 years. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a fireman at Cape Kennedy for 10 years. He retired as a business contractor. His family remembers him as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grand-father and great-grand-father, who shared and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A member of the Idlewild Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 59½years, Jeanette; son, Gary Tucker (Anne); daughters, Setrina Riverol (Eddie) and Carol Solar (Ruben); and grandchildren, Joseph Bedami, Lucresia Nelson, Jordan, Jade and Ryan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. The family thanks the hospice team for all their care. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Thursday, June 11, Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, New Port Richey, Fla., where funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 12.
