CATHERINE DUVARNEY CLINTON: Catherine M. Duvarney, 73, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. She is survived by her brothers, David Duvarney & wife Maureen of Fernandina Beach, FL and Ronald Duvarney, Jr & wife Debra of Clinton; a nephew David Duvarney of Columbus, OH; and her longtime companion Ruth Wagner of Clinton. Cathy was born in Clinton, daughter of the late Ronald & Marilyn (Ruddy) Duvarney. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Worcester, and Anna Maria College. She was a dedicated educator at Clinton Elementary School, specializing in reading skills. She also worked as a proofreader for Colonial Press and Acorn Graphics, Worcester. Cathy has been involved in many organizations, notably Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, serving as local and state president; the Clinton Lions Club, where she was first female division president; and a founding member of the Clinton Women's Softball League. She was also an avid golfer and coached golf at Clinton High School. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Calling hours were held 9:30 until 11AM on Monday, March 18, 2024 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton.
