JOHN DeCESARE

JOHN R. "JACK" DeCESARE CLINTON - John R. "Jack" DeCesare, 83, passed suddenly at home on Wednesday, January 4, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Karen M. (Hildebrandt) DeCesare; his daughter, Kristen MacDonald, and her children, Alec and Aidan MacDonald; son, Jason DeCesare and his wife Christina, and their children, Jourdan, Jenna, and Julia DeCesare, Chrissy, Kiara, and Nico Chiarolanzio. He also leaves his extended family, including Shaun Cislak, Stacey DeCesare, and Nikki Johnstone and husband Trent, and their daughter, Violet; his siblings, Karen DeCesare and Paul DeCesare and wife Nancy; generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends throughout Massachusetts and Florida, notably Art and Arlene Tilton. He is predeceased by his close cousin Thomas DeCesare and wife Jenny. Jack was born in Clinton, son of the late John and Edith (Stride) DeCesare. He graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1959 and continued studies at Worcester Junior College. Jack proudly served our nation in the Massachusetts National Guard. He spent his professional career in the printing trade, owning and operating his own business, Satellite Press in Clinton for many years, in addition to working with the Colonial Press, Murray Printing, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Quebecor, from where he ultimately retired. Jack belonged to St. John's in Clinton and was a long-time member of the Clinton Elks Lodge. Among his many hobbies and enjoyments, Jack was a great athlete, an avid golfer, racquetball enthusiast, and longtime softball player, notoriously known for his speed and base stealing in Clinton Men's League. He and Karen spent many winters among friends at their home on Hutchinson Island, Fla., and took pleasure in extensive travel, with numerous and memorable vacations to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, Las Vegas, Nev., and visits with family in South Portland, Maine, and Dallas, Texas. A lifelong music fan, Jack always listened to the classics of the 50s and 60s and his favorite band, Infinite Alien. He was most proud of his blended family and was lovingly referred to as "Head Griswold" by his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who loved him most.
