MARILYN MCGINN Obituary

MARILYN MCGINN Marilyn J. (Maher) McGinn, 57, of Clinton, MA, has sadly passed away in the early morning hours of August 27th, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Timothy W. McGinn; her children, Molly, and Charles McGinn; her siblings, Billy, Richie, Ellie, Suzie, Michael, Dennis, and Jimmy. She was predeceased by her beloved mother and father, and her brother Pat. Mari was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William & Eleanor (Labarbera) Maher. She graduated from Fox Chapel High School, Class of 1984, and continued her education at Slippery Rock University. She devoted herself to making her house into a home for her family, and loved creating little moments of joy everywhere, whether that be with trinkets and splashes of color or filling every windowsill with beautiful plants. She loved tending to her numerous gardens and loved being in the sun just as much as her plants did. After moving to Clinton with her family and homeschooling her two children, she joined Molly and Charles at Clinton Elementary School as a substitute teacher before starting her own dog-walking and pet care business. She loved outdoor activities such as bike riding, hiking, horseback riding, and skiing. One of her favorite pastimes was making a fire in the backyard fire pit, and one of her favorite places to go was the seashore, no matter the time of year. She was as tough and resourceful as she was sweet and kind, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held privately.
