TURKEY — Betty Lou Hairr Boyette, 79, of 3671 Cabin Museum Road, Turkey, passed away on her birthday, Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Chubby Reiber officiating. Family will receive friends following the service.
Born in 1946 in Wayne County, Betty was the daughter of the late Mary Margaret Wellington and James Gordon Hairr. She retired from Hamilton Beach in Clinton.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Boyette (Rebecca) of Dover; one brother, Ronnie Hairr of Roseboro; two grandchildren, Aaron Boyette and Dustin Dudley; and four great-grandchildren.
