Clinton — Mrs. Bonnie (Davis) Butler House, 78, of Clinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving children.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024 at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:50 p.m., on Sunday, Dec.1, at the church prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec.2, at Grandview Memorial Park with Reverend Andy Wood officiating.
Mrs. House was born in Wayne County on Dec. 29, 1945, the daughter of Arthur and Luna Jackson Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Marion Butler, Jr.; her son, John William "Little Willie" Weeks, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Lisa Butler Sabourin of Clinton; Charles Marion Butler, III and wife, Sondra of Clinton; Brenda Butler Mahoney and husband, Sonny of Harrells; Jenny House Williams of South Carolina; and Wanda Sue Tanner and husband, Dale of Clinton; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jerry Davis and wife, Ann of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Butler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 638, Roseboro, N.C. 28382 to help the family to offset funeral expenses.
