Modesto Billarreal III, 80, of Clinton, passed away at home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Holly Grove Holiness Church, 1519 Indian Town Road, with Pastor Jairo Contreras officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born in 1944 in Michigan, Modesto was the son of the late Modesto Billarreal II and Maria Santana Billarreal. Mr. Billarreal was a faithful servant and member of the Iglesia Bautista Maranatha, where he attended for many years. He also congregated at Iglesia Pentecostes Jesucristo Rey de Gloria and Iglesia El Sembrador where he was welcomed, loved and made at home. He loved the outdoors, spending time with his family and most importantly, He loved Jesus. He worked at McCullen Farms for 13 years and then later at Prestage Farms, where he retired from. He lived a long and fruitful life.
Modesto is survived by two daughters, Connie B. Sanchez, her husband, Francisco of Clinton, and Margarita B. Luna, her husband, Luis of Clinton; and one son, Pedro Modesto Billarreal of Clinton; 15 grandchildren who lit up his world: Ashley, Brandon, Liandra, Noah, Nicky, Neil, Johan, Haylie, Cali, Luis Jr., Angie, Nyah, Sevas, Ari and his favorite Kalani; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Modesto was preceded in death by his son, Juan Abran Billarreal.
The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 17, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home, and other times at his daughter's home, 325 Tram Road Clinton.
