WALLACE — Ricky Allen Precise, 65, of Wallace, received his heavenly healing on Nov. 16, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 17, 1959, in Sampson County, son of Patsy Matthews and the late William R. Precise.
A former paratrooper in the 82 Airborne and Funeral Director/Embalmer, Ricky was a devoted christian, husband, father, son, poppy and friend to those he loved most.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 35 years, Faith Precise(Parker); his children, Erin Precise, Parker Precise of Wallace, Michelle Penczak (Sean) of Hampstead; grandchildren, Sawyer and Jameson Penczak; mother, Patsy Matthews of Clinton; sister, Sandra Kearns (Keith) of Clinton; nephews, Matthew Kearns (Jessica), Jesse Parker, Gabriel Lengkeek (Krystal) and niece, Hannah Torres (Corey and Kohen).
He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Geneva Carol; step-father, Orson Matthews; aunt, Mae; cousin, Diane and brother-in-law, Shawn Parker.
The family will receive friends at their home.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 20, at William Parker Cemetery 817 Deep Bottom Road, Wallace, with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army.
The family would like to thank their community for the many thoughts, prayers, food and love during Ricky's hard fought battle with lung cancer. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were felt immensely and have been so appreciated during this time. They would also like to thank his wonderful nurse, Sonia and the care team with Lower Cape Fear LifeCare as well as his teams at Wilmington VA Center, and Duke Cancer Center.
