Ruby Register Obituary

CLINTON — Mrs. Ruby Beck Register, 92, of 120 Southwood Drive, died Wednesday evening, July 8, 2015 at Sampson Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side.

A funeral service will be held at Grove Park Baptist Church on Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Gary Threatt and the Rev. Tim Register officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, July 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.

Born in 1923 in Georgia, Ruby was the daughter of the late Fred Lee Beck and Lucy Hembree Beck. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a retired retail manager and small business owner.

Ruby is survived by one daughter, Phyllis R. Wrench of Godwin; two sons, Hallie "Hal" I. Register, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Clinton and Timothy G. Register and wife, Lynn of Garland; one sister, Edna B. Wise of Aurora, Colorado; 10 Grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Register and a son-in-law, Buddy Wrench; three sisters, Sarah B. Bass, Agnes B. Powell and Floy B. Fueller; and one brother, Edgar Beck.
