CLINTON — Walter Thomas Robinson, 77, of 833 Faison Hwy, Clinton, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at Grove Park Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathon Shattuck, Rev. Cameron Dunn, and Rev. Michael Shook officiating.
Born in 1947 in Sampson County, Thomas was the son of the late Walter H. and Sallie Mae Smith Robinson. He was a member of the Grove Park Baptist Church and the owner of Robinson & Son Machine, Inc.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Hope Robinson; two daughters, Ellen Robinson Jones of Clinton and Patricia Robinson Harrell (Greg) of Clinton; one son, Thomas Wayne Robinson of Asheville; one brother, Jimmy R. Robinson (Carolyn) of Wilmington; one sister, Rita Robinson Corbett (Dennis) of Clinton; six grandchildren, Bruce W. Jones, Michael W. Robinson, Thomas B. Robinson, Christoper B. Robinson, Carmen H. Huitt (Travis), Anna G. Harrell; one great-granddaughter, Abbi Huitt; special family friends Danny Jones, Tony, Danielle, and Jason Smith, all of Clinton and special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Gregory Robinson.
The family will receive friends following the services on Saturday at the church and other times at his home.
