Phyllis Fulton Obituary

PHYLLIS FULTON died 03 July 2023, age 89, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born February 11, 1934, to Charles Fulton and Eunice Butcher Fulton. Phyllis was the last living member of the Charles and Eunice Fulton family.
Phyllis graduated from Charleston High School and the University of Maryland. After graduating from Charleston High, Phyllis worked for Bell South. She moved to Washington, D.C. in the early 1960s, where she worked as an editor, and returned to Madison in 1990 to live with her mother. Phyllis was a member of the Madison Baptist Church.
Phyllis liked to travel and was interested in her family's history. She was a member of the Boone County Genealogical Society and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed art and appreciated classical and county music.
A graveside service was held for Phyllis at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 at Boone Memorial Park, Madison, W.Va., with Pastor Jim Butcher officiating.
Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
