Hakeem Clark Obituary
Born June 4, 1989, in Fort Irwin, California, Hakeem was a graduate of Liberty County High School (2009) where he ran track and played football and received numerous accolades. He was also a 2011 graduate of North Georgia Technical College in Clarksville.
Hakeem was a respectable, hardworking, energetic young man. He enjoyed getting fit in the local gym, working on cars, watching football and boxing, also spending time with family and friends. All who knew him could attest to the fact that we will miss hearing his laughter, seeing his infectious smile, and enjoying his lively sense humor.
Hakeem was employed with SNF Holding as a plant operator and Food Lion as a meat cutter, stocker and sales associate. His previous employers included Vaden Nissan as an automotive service technician, Fort Stewart MWR as an attendant, German Auto Dismantlers as an auto dismantler and Mo' Better Car Wash as an auto detailer.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Hilliard and Catherine Clark Sr. of Saginaw, Michican; his maternal grandfather, William Hargrove of Panola, Alabama; two aunts, Beulah Mae Jones and Ruby Jean Clark of Saginaw; two uncles, George E. Clark of Saginaw and Alexander Smith of Panola; and a cousin, Anthony Earl Smith of Saginaw.
He leaves behind his parents retired SFC (U.S. Army) Hilliard and Barbara Clark Jr. of Hinesville; sister, Shameka (Sancho) Scott of Tampa, Florida; brother Hilliard Cornell (Renata) Clark III of Hinesville; maternal grandmother, Thelma Smith of Panola; three nephews and two nieces; Tobias, Sierra, Xavier, Signe' and Isaiah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Public viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Hinesville.
Interment will be at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville.
Dorchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dro had a smile that could light up a room. He was such a great person to be around. Very loyal and caring and he will be missed. I will truly miss Hakeem with his very warm and loving personalty. I have admired him and his work ethics since I met him at NGTC. If I had known July 24 would be the last time I would hear Hakeem's voice, I would have kept him on the phone a little longer and laughed more as I listened to him talk about so many different things.
