Hattie Hargrove Obituary
Hattie was educated in the Liberty County Schools and graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1974. Hattie married her high school sweetheart and had two children. One of Hattie's greatest accomplishments was working for Gateway Behavioral Heath where she devoted herself to helping individuals with disabilities and supporting the Special Olympics. After retirement, she enjoyed fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Nathan and Abraham Simmons. Hattie leaves to cherish her memories her husband Levan Hargrove of 47 years, children Selina and Brian, siblings Evelyn, Whymon , Carol, Anthony, James Jr., Thelma, Henrietta, Melinda, and Vernisha, devoted sister and brother-in-law's, Albert, Eddie and Catherine Spencer, Byrdell Bryant, Leila Jones, Gloria Simmons, eight grandchildren, one great-grand son, a host of nieces and nephews, two devoted friends, Carolyn Roberts Grady and Lin White, and the love and support from the Treesa Hill Family.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 28th at 1:00 P.M. at First Zion Baptist Church in Riceboro, GA.
