John Barnett Obituary

John T. Barnett, 74, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Hospice Savannah in Savannah, GA. He was born in Detroit, MI on June 26, 1946 and has lived in Hinesville since 1981.

Mr. Barnett was a veteran of the United States Army achieving the rank of CW4. He served in Vietnam and the Gulf War. He retired in 1998 after 28 years of service receiving the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal among many others.

He is survived by his children, Thomas and Melisa Barnett of Ludowici, Chris and Gwen Barnett of Snellville, and Tianne and Steve Agosta of Hinesville; grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Gabby, and Ashley; great-grandson, John Luke; siblings, Herman and Brenda Barnett, George Barnett, Jane and Phil Rivera, Stella Barnett, Walter and Sandy Barnett, and Fred Barnett.
