Karin Fox Miller Obituary

Karin Fox Miller, 81, of Hinesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in Savannah on Friday, October 17, 2025.
She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor who brought a special light into the lives of all who knew her.
Born in 1944, Karin grew up in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, with her parents and sister. She later moved to the United States in 1963 and grew her family here over the years.
Prior to retirement, Karin worked as a hairdresser, makeup artist and manager for AAFES at Fort Stewart for nearly two decades.
Karin is survived by her children and stepchildren, Bob and Sharie Broecker of Ludowici, Christina (Tina) Fox Rogers of Hinesville, Sandy and Jennifer Miller of Atlanta and Jonathan Miller of Atlanta. She was a proud grandmother to Taylor Harris of Hinesville, Hannah E. Rogers of Daisy and Josie Miller of Atlanta; and great-grandmother to Braxton and Greyson Harris of Homerville. She is also survived by her nephew, Steffen Geyer of Bosenheim, Germany.
Karin was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ella Arndt; her sister and brother-in-law, Renata and Wolfgang Geyer; her dear first husband and father of Bobby and Tina, Gerald E. "Jerry" Fox; and her beloved husband, Moreland "Moe" Miller.
Karin carried her German heritage with pride, and her life was enriched by a strong community of family and friends with whom she shared stories, laughter and her love of traditional treats like Weiss Wurst, Black Forest cake and Schokoküsse.
Her family cherished the love, warmth and laughter she brought to every gathering.
Karin was always on the move, either baking her famous Nana's fudge and Christmas cookies, attending her grandchildren's athletic events or making her rounds through town. When she did sit down, it was often with a cup of coffee and her landline phone, catching up with friends.
She was an avid bowler in her local league for decades and most recently played this past summer at age 80.
Karin found joy in music, caring for her sweet crew of pets and playing games. Her home was adorned with a cherished collection of elephant figurines that symbolize loyalty, power and stability, all traits that she also embodied.
Small in stature but mighty in spirit, Karin was gentle, vibrant and fiercely devoted to her loved ones. She was strong, brave and compassionate to all her family and friends.
Karin was famously known for saying, "I love you to the moon and back," a phrase that will echo in the hearts of those she held dear. She will be deeply missed and her spirit will live on in all those fortunate enough to have been loved by her.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25th, at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Hinesville, 1822 East Oglethorpe Highway, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Following the service, the family invites guests to join them for light refreshments at the American Legion Post 168 in Hinesville, 1121 West Oglethorpe Highway.
Those unable to attend the service are also welcome to gather and share memories during this time together.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Carpathia PAWS Animal Rescue, 1534 Airport Road, Hinesville, GA 31313; or the American Heart Association at http://www.heart.org.
Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.

My sweet Karin. You will be forever missed. Our friendship endured over 40 years even though we lived far apart. I am so thankful we had our visit last spring when both of us were well.
I was in the hospital when you passed having quadruple bypass and aortic heart valve replacement so I just became aware of your passing. I hope Bobby and Tina know I would have been there if physically possible.
God bless the family.

A beautiful person, that will be missed. I can still hear her say, "I love you to the moon and back."
