Robert Tice Obituary

The Rev. Robert L. Tice, 90, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Oct 26, 2016, at Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Savannah, and was preceded in death by his parents, George C. Tice and Susie Elizabeth Fryer Tice.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946 in the South Pacific.
He was employed with Union Camp as a paper tester from 1946 to 1988, when he retired.
He was a Baptist minister in the Savannah Association for 42 years, serving five different churches over that period, starting at the Third Victory Baptist Chapel that changed to the Solid Rock Church later. Then to Lamarville Baptist Church, Meldrim Baptist Church, Bona Bella Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church, which later became the Sycamore Group.
He was currently a member of Grace Christian Church in Midway.
He is survived by his brother, William Paul Tice (Judy C. Tice) of Midway; sister, Gloria Tice Bishop (Mac R. Bishop) of Adrian, Michigan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel with the Rev. Barry Tice (his nephew) and the Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Remembrances have been suggested to Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill.
Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
