I remember him as a stern, no-nonsense NCO when I was a young PFC at the 1/75th at Ft. Stewart in 76. In 1979, as an SGT, I worked with him again as an instructor at Platoon Confidence Training in Bad Tolz, Germany. Here I discovered him to be a caring, mentoring person, and an outstanding trainer of men who had a hilarious sense of humor! He touched many lives and, as a Ranger, truly led the way! He will be missed! See you at the final rally point, Bill!

Bill was a good friend and Ranger buddy. We served together in the 10th SFG in Bad TOELZ, FRG, and both ended our careers in Georgia. He, as the Infantry Center CSM at Ft Benning and I, as the Signal Center CSM at Ft Gordon. Bill and another buddy, the late CSM Ret Riley Miller ( we served in RVN in P75 in `70-71), attended my retirement at Ft Gordon in 1993. We stayed in contact after retirement and he was always devoted to soldiers and the Regiment. Aloha, Bill. You will always remain a true ranger warrior leader. RLTW!!!!
