Keel Ackerman Obituary
Keel Hunter Ackerman, 31, died on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
Cynthia Ackerman was blessed to give birth to her January 20, 1990.
Keel spent most of her life in the mountains painting, writing, reading, watching the visiting bears, mountain lions, deer, and fox and dogs playing. Best of all she would fly up and down the mountains on her horse.
Later Keel was diagnosed with a rare, physically degenerative syndrome. It destroyed her body but not her mind. No matter the circumstances her incredible breadth of knowledge, wisdom beyond her years, compassion and quick wit made her a person everyone wanted to spend time with.
She is survived by her mother, Thea Ackerman, her Great-Aunt Carolyn Ackerman-Wilkinson, Aunt Chris Machen, Aunt Bunny Mason, Hilary and Ken Stacey, and twenty cousins.

I will never forget the innate sweetness Keel possessed. Always a positron despite her challenges in life. She was so joyful anytime our paths crossed, no matter the amount time that had passed. I adored Keelie.

We knew sweet Keel from Jolly Ridge stables. She adored helping David shoe her horses.

Thea and Keel were friends of ours for nearly 23 years. Keel was a friend to us both. Kena and Keel shared horse back riding tips and Hair accessories, and the love of Horse back riding together. We both looked forward to seeing them again. Keel was a beautiful soul, one that will be surely missed. Thea we can’t understand the unbearable pain you must be in. We pray that the Lord will comfort you in this time. Rest In Peace, Keel!
