Bennett Hunter Brown

2005 - 2022

Bennett Hunter Brown, 17, was born in 2005 and died November 8, 2022, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, with his Mother and Father by his side.

Although shy amid large groups of people, Bennett had a great sense of humor and felt most comfortable among smaller groups of people. Bennett was cared for and loved by many, who miss his kind and gentle spirit.

Growing up and living in Evergreen, Colorado, Bennett loved and participated in many sports, among them baseball, soccer, weightlifting, skiing and E-sports, an accomplished player of Rocket League and Minecraft. (Toki and Spiral)

At age 10, he started working as a Soccer Referee and Coach, participating in many local recreational soccer leagues and on the JV soccer team at Evergreen High School.

In June 2022, after 2 and 1/2 years of Long Covid, Bennett completed High School early by achieving his GED. He was accepted into Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona as a Freshman, and began studies there in August 2022 as an English major.

A Memorial Service was held on November 11, 2022, at Congregation Beth Evergreen in Evergreen, and (https://youtu.be/a4PJ1d-he-M) where he was a B'nai Mitzvah at age 13.

Bennett is survived by his big brother Joshua H. Brown, his half-sister Chelsea Bassler, parents Bruce I. Brown and Patricia Stanton Brown, multiple aunts and uncles and 23 first cousins. His grandmother, Katherine Tarantino Stanton of Pearl River, NY, died 3 months later at age 97.

He was predeceased by his Grandparents Bernard Brown Jr. and Marilyn Tuch Brown of Los Angeles, California, and Marshall Stanton Sr., of Mount Ivy, NY.
