Frank Ramirez Obituary

Frank "Poncho" Raymond Ramirez, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Thornton, Colorado, on April 5, 2025 after his long fought battle with Cancer & Alzheimers. Born on April 20, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, Frank lived a vibrant and full life rooted in love for his family and a passion for the open road.
Frank was the beloved husband of Dari Ramirez and a devoted father to his daughters Amberly Ramirez-Marks and Brook Ramirez. He cherished his role as grandfather to Ashantiana Ramirez and Kenzo Johnson, giving them all his unconditional love. He is also remembered by his sisters Vangie (Ernie) Romero and Eleanor Ramirez. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Ramirez and Carmen Ramirez.
Known as "Poncho" to some, Frank had an infectious personality that made him a friend to all. His fun-loving spirit, sharp wit, and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone left lasting impressions wherever he went. Whether sharing a laugh or lending an ear, Frank's kind nature & sense of humor was a constant in the lives of those who knew him.
A proud Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, Frank found freedom on the open road. He looked forward to going to Sturgis each year-a tradition that he proudly boasted he had attended for over 20 years straight.
In keeping with his generous nature, Frank chose to donate his body to science-a final act of giving that speaks volumes about the kind of man he was.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at His Home, located at 10502 Clermont Way, Thornton, Colorado 80233. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Frank's remarkable life.
May the memory of Frank "Poncho" Raymond Ramirez bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.

Poncho was the only boy cousin I had. He had the gift of gab. So easy to talk to, so fun to be around.
I will alway remember visiting the family. When I was about 7 and he was 8 or 9 we got some popsicles, those red white and blue Bomb Pops from the ice cream man. My tongue stuck to the popsicle. I freaked out and was crying. Poncho went and got the hose, turned on the water and pointed it in my face. My tongue released from the popsicle. I was so happy and proud of him for squirting me in the face. He was my hero. After 76 years I remember the day like it was yesterday.
I love you my Cousin.
