Geraldine Curry

1919 - 2014

Geraldine E. Curry (Geri), 94, of Louisville, CO passed away June 29, 2014 at TRU Hospice Care at Balfour from the result of recent multiple strokes. She was born December 19, 1919 in Rochester, NY to Leslie and Eva DuPrey. Geraldine married Francis P. Curry September 11, 1943 and was married for 55 years. She was a homemaker, mom and hair dresser before her marriage. She lived in Rochester, NY, Rochester, MN, Boulder, CO, Tucson AZ, Louisville, CO and the Villas at Balfour Retirement Community. Geraldine loved everyone she met, laughing, happy hour, friends and family and was an avid bowler and bridge player. She spent 15 years volunteering at the Louisville Senior Center and was known as the Cookie Lady because she brought cookies every day to the children in daycare at the Louisville Recreation Center. Always the beautiful proper lady with hair and nails always perfect, and always made sure her purse matched her outfits. Geraldine is survived by Robert Curry (Orlana), Sharon Curry, Linda Curry (Jenny), Two grandchildren Patrick Curry and Brian Curry (Mary) and one great grandchild Sofia Curry (Brian Curry). She is preceded in death by her husband Francis Curry, parentsLeslie and Eva DuPrey, and her sister Dorothy Bopp. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 900 W. Midway Blvd. Broomfield, CO with a luncheon to follow Mass. Private interment will be at Louisville Cemetery. Her children want to thank all who cared and loved their mom. Geri was truly the best wife, mom, and friend anyone could ask for.
