John Zedrick Obituary

John passed away suddenly, Tuesday, August 17th in the morning, due to an illness while on a motorcycle ride in Wyoming. John loved being with his friends and family, riding the road on his Harley and attending or watching Bronco games. He was born in California and moved to Louisville, CO at age 11. He graduated from Louisville High School. After graduation, he returned to California to pursue a career in computer programming and software development, which became a lifetime career. His first computer programming job was at GTE. In 1979 he returned to Colorado with his family, working for Citicorp. While at Citicorp, John was transferred to South Dakota. There he realized a need for a good Mexican restaurant and opened the 'No Where Cantina', which became a four star restaurant for their green chili. John left the restaurant business and returned to Colorado. He continued with software development at MCI and later for MetLife until his death. John is survived by his son, Jason Zedrick; and daughter-in-law, Loni Chancellor; grandchildren, Jadon and Caelyn Zedrick of Groves, Texas; mother and step father, Linda Estrada & Charles Latham; sisters and brother-in-laws, Tressa & Chad Anderson, Mary Zedrick & Jeff Martinez, Georgi Zedrick & Jeff Schubert all residing in the Boulder/Denver area. He was preceded in death by his father, George Zedrick and sister, Deborah Cox. Celebration of John's life will be Friday, August 28th, 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM at Tri-City Elks Lodge in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, please take a moment in memory of John.
