Rhonda Jane Buchanan Jimenez, 49, full-time grandmother and resident of Columbia, died Friday, July 16, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jimenez will be conducted Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Paul officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born June 8, 1972 in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Mary Jane King Buchanan. On December 1, 1991, she married her high school sweetheart, Gregg Jimenez, who preceded her in death October 29, 2007. Mrs. Jimenez was a graduate of Pontiac Northern High School in Michigan. She enjoyed to cook, and more than anything loved being with children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jimenez was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Rayna Jimenez, Talia Jimenez; grandchildren, Aries Jimenez, Analeigha Beckum; and her life-long childhood friend, Katherine Carr.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Buchanan.
Active pallbearers will be De Poynter, Ramon Olivarez, and family and friends.
