Our beloved Mother, Jean fell asleep in death Jan. 11, 2025, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband George who was the love of her life having been married for nearly 76 years. They raised four children: Judy Hoff (Larry), Michael Burns (Maria), Calvin Burns deceased (Patricia) and Shelley Cole (David deceased). Nine Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, with the seventh Great Great Grandchild on the way. Also survived by her beloved brother-in-law Donie Burns. Jean was a longtime resident of the Vancouver area. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she dedicated her life to serving our loving God Jehovah and freely shared her bible knowledge with many. Loved by countless friends and simply known to many as “Grandma.”

Jean Burns was a wonderful and loving person. Jean was one of my spiritual sisters. My wife Mary and I knew Jean and her dear husband George for many years. They were both such a spiritual encouragement to Mary and me. We loved them and will miss them. George and Jean along with my wife Mary are in Jehovah's memory, the safest place to be for he will remember them and bring them back to all of us in the resurrection. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of them family. It will not be long, and we will all see them again in perfect health.

Love,
Your Brother Jeff Cooke
