Joyce Prigge Obituary

JOYCE DELTA PRIGGE
August 26, 1937 ˜ December 3,
2024

Joyce, age 87, of Vancouver, WA, went to heaven suddenly on Tuesday, Dec. 3, surrounded by her family. Born in St. Paul, MN, preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Survived by husband of 66 years, Paul; three sons, two daughters, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, and brother of Minnesota.
Joyce retired from her job of 16 years as a clerk at Oroweat in Vancouver. She was a 50-year devoted member of Memorial Lutheran Church and its quilting group, still tying quilts at home when she could no longer participate with the group at church. She was a gardener and proud of her abundant tomato crops. She also enjoyed spending a little time at the casino.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends where her amazing cooking and baking skills were always on display. She was the ultimate mom and wife. Her children didn’t even know what a store bought cookie or cake was until they left home.
A remembrance service will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church on Grand Avenue in Vancouver on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m.
If you wish to remember Joyce, in lieu of flowers, a donation to Memorial Lutheran Church or Open House Ministries Vancouver, WA, www.sheltered.org, 900 W. 12th St., Vancouver, WA 98660

Joyce was an incredible woman and friend. As I type this I am looking at a beautiful Santa and Christmas tree she made for me as a gifts. Joyce was a talented, beautiful, kind woman that will be missed by everyone who had the
privilege of knowing her and being her friend. My love and hugs go out to her entire family.
