Peggy Prager Obituary

PEGGY FRANCES PRAGER
January 13, 1946 ˜ May 2, 2023

Peggy Frances Prager passed away at the age of 77 in Vancouver, WA, due to complications from multiple myeloma.

Born to William and Ilene Simmons in Medford, OR, Peggy grew up in Concrete, WA, and Norwalk, CA, and graduated from Santa Fe HS (CA) in 1964. In 1971 she moved back to the PNW where she later met her husband John; they lived in Forks, WA, for many years before relocating to Vancouver, WA.

Peggy dedicated her career to helping children, families and those in need with both the Quileute Nation in La Push and the WA Dept. of Social and Health Services in Vancouver. Her compassion and dedication to helping others made a difference in the lives of many. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, cruising, sailing and traveling. Her laughter was infectious, and her generosity and kindness was felt by everyone she touched. She loved sharing her latest travel adventures with friends and family with margarita in hand.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, John Prager; and daughter, Rebecca (Bryce) Milam; and is survived by her son, Kevin (Victoria) Hasely; daughter, Rachel Beck; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

A private family service will be held to honor Peggy’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peggy’s memory to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.
