Ruth Levanen Obituary
April 1, 1925 ~ November 3, 2010
Ruth Marie Levanen, of Battle Ground, WA, passed away Nov. 3, 2010 at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, WA from complications following a stroke. She was a Clark County, WA resident for over 50 years. Ruth was born April 1, 1925 in Klausberg, Germany to Wilhelm and Marie Kruzel.
She married Ray Levanen in 1956.
She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Irma Walz of Newark, NJ; brother, Hubert Kruzel of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada; sons, Scott and wife Wendy of Battle Ground, WA, Grant and wife Sherri of Duluth, MN, and Lee and wife Debbie of Battle Ground, WA; numerous nephews and nieces; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother and sister; and her husband, Ray.
The family will be gathered Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 16603 N.E. 142nd Ave. in Brush Prairie from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.

Dear Levanen Family,
I am so sad to read of Ruths passing. I thought alot of both your mom & your dad. They were 2 of my favorite customers when Shellie & I had our shop in Amboy. I saw your mom not that long ago after many years, we gave each other a hug, that is how I will remember her always, kind & sweethearted. God Bless

When I close my eyes I can see best friends Ruth Cieslar and Ruth Kruzel in Forchheim Germany coping with the problems of 1950 in Germany. Many memories of a difficult but happy time. Now both are gone and I would like to think that my Ruth was there on November 3rd to welcome your Ruth.
