HASTINGS -- Hastings resident Beda H. Behmer, 89, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at Harvard Rest Haven, in Harvard.
Rosary will be Friday, July 12, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home, in Norfolk Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Norfolk,, with Father Gregory Carl officiating. Book signing will be Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings. Family will greet relatives and friends Friday, July 12, 2013, at 4-7 p.m. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Parish Schools Endowment.

Beda was born to Henry and Rose (Borer) Wiese, January 20, 1924, in Lindsay. She married Wilbur C. "Bud" Behmer, April 25, 1950, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1989. Beda worked for Dale Electronics and later retired from the business. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish and was very active in the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Beda was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; brothers, Edward, Richard, Raymond, Harold, and Bill Wiese; sister, Eleanor Wiese; and sisters-in-law, Cleo, Geri, Dorothy, and Ollie Wiese.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Marcia Behmer, of Ayr, Michael Behmer, of Blue Hill, NE, David and Denise Behmer, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donald and Amparo Behmer, of Murphy, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jeff Burgan, of Mountain View, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, David and Delores Wiese, of Lindsay, Leonard Wiese, of Columbus; sisters and brother–in-law, Alice and Richard Maresh, of Dodge, Sister Thelma Wiese, of Manitowoc, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Rose Wiese, of Lincoln, Marge Wiese, of Bowie, Md., Eloise Wiese, of Omaha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
