Benjamin Robak Obituary

COLUMBUS - Benjamin "Ben" Robak, 31, of Columbus, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at his home in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1565 18th Ave., Columbus, with the Rev. Mike Keating officiating. Interment will be All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. vigil, continuing 8-10 a.m. Friday, all at McKown Funeral Home.

Memorials suggested to Catholic Charities or Paws-n-Claws.

Benjamin "Ben" Daniel Robak was born Oct. 12, 1978, in Columbus to Daniel and Marilyn (Fyfe) Robak. He attended St. Bonaventure Grade School, Columbus Middle School and graduated from Columbus High School. Ben was previously employed by Appleton's and worked various jobs as a painter. He enjoyed watching Detroit Lions Football, caring for his cats, watching Ultimate Fighting, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his parents, Dan and Marilyn Robak, of Columbus; brother, Craig (Jill) Robak, of Columbus; sister, Kerry (Jeff) Lassek, of Columbus; sister, Jill (Justin) Hinze, of Lincoln; nieces, Sadee and Brea Lassek, Jenna and Emilee Robak; nephews, Jett and Jace Hinze; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Elizabeth Robak; grandparents, William and Ruth Fyfe; uncle, Richard Fyfe; and aunt, Carlene Fyfe.
