Beth Sloan, 93, of Columbus, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Brandon Foster officiating.
Beth Elaine Sloan was born July 2, 1926, on a farm outside of Ericson, to James Albert and Alice Marie (Bodyfield) Wilson. She graduated from Burwell High in 1944. Beth enjoyed playing Bridge, gardening, and antiquing as well as cooking and entertaining. Her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle strength, grace and beauty.
Beth is survived by daughter, Cindy (Dennis) Schroeder of Columbus; son, Steve Sloan of Elwood; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Beth was preceded in death by parents, James and Alice Wilson; husband, Bill Sloan; brother, Don Wilson.
