December 28, 1955 - July 4, 2025
NORFOLK - Funeral services for Christy L. Henrickson, 69, of Norfolk, will be held on Wednesday July 9th, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Pastor Terry Buol will be officiating the services. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. Christy passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Christy was born on December 28, 1955 to Lyle and Donna (Blair) Barton in Norfolk, Neb. She attended and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1974. Christy married Ron Henrickson in 1974 and later divorced. During their marriage, they were blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Kelly. Ten years later, Christy was blessed with another daughter, Kimberly.
In 1977, Christy started her 48-year career with Dale Electronics beginning in Norfolk. After the Norfolk plant closed in 2005, she transferred to the Vishay Dale Electronics plant in Columbus and continued to commute the 45 miles to and from everyday until her retirement on May 30, 2025.
Christy loved watching Nebraska sports, but especially the Husker volleyball and Husker football teams. She loved working on her puzzles but most of all she loved watching her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids activities. She was at every event that she could attend.
Her family was always her first priority.
Christy is survived by her daughters, Lisa Cornelio of Norfolk, Kelly (Shane) Anderson of Norfolk, and Kimberly (Bobby) Henrickson of Wisner; grandchildren, Derek Cornelio of Norfolk, Shawn (Madysen) Cornelio of Stanton, Hallie (Tony) Cuyler of Dodge, Austin Knoell of Arlington, Texas, Kaden Knoell of Norfolk, Layla Theroes of Wisner, and Payton Theroes of Wisner; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Matthew, Stratton, Palmer, and Copeland. Siblings, Connie Bahn of Clarinda, Iowa, Robin (Glen) Hoffart of Osmond, and Ricky Barton of Norfolk; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was welcomed at the gate by her parents, Lyle and Donna Barton; brother, Randy Barton; and brother-in-law, Dave Bahn.

I am so sorry of the loss of Christy. I work with her at Vishay. I retired last December. I always called her smiley, for she always had a smile for me when we crossed paths at change of shift. RIP SMILEY
