Debra Seitz, 67, of Columbus, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at her home in Columbus.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Patrick Sparling and Rev. Christopher Ramstad officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at Gass Haney Funeral Home, and will continue from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday, at the church. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Debra Wynne Seitz was born on Feb. 16, 1952, to George and Roseanna (Novotny) Mentgen in Beatrice. She attended school in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1970. After high school, Debbie attended Grand Island School of Business and received her Associate of Accounting Degree.
On Aug. 26, 1978, Debbie was united in marriage to Arlo Seitz, in Hanover, Kansas. They lived in Beatrice for a time, before moving to Columbus in 1981, where she worked in the accounting department at Vishay Dale's for over 33 years, retiring in 2014. Debbie enjoyed collecting angels, raising purple flowers, and going to Lincoln each month to visit with her many cousins. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Debbie is survived by husband, Arlo Seitz of Columbus; son, Daryl Seitz of Lincoln; brother, Al (Candy) Mentgen of Beatrice; brother-in-law, Rob (Jana) Robertson of Beatrice; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by parents, George and Roseanna Mentgen; sister, Connie Robertson.
