John Bohac, 52, of Schuyler, died Oct. 16, 2018, at his home in Schuyler.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with The Rev. Andrew Roza officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, and from noon-1 p.m. on Saturday, all at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
John was born Nov. 4, 1965, in Schuyler, to Richard and Diana (Kracl) Bohac. He grew up in Schuyler and graduated from Schuyler Central High School in 1984. He currently worked as a truck driver for Camaco, after previously working for BMC and Excel Corp. John enjoyed gardening, cooking and smoking meat, hunting and fishing and listening to audio books. He was very close with his family and enjoyed staying in contact with his family and friends while he was on the road. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews and always looked forward to giving them a hard time.
John is survived by mother Diana Bohac of Schuyler, brother Kent (Gina) Bohac of Elkhorn, brother Curt (Patti) Bohac of Schuyler, sister Jodi (Carl) Wrede of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; sister Larissa Bohac of Schuyler; nieces and nephews Alisa and Alexa Bohac, Ashley (Joey) Benoit and Gabe, Colton and Cade Bohac; Jackson, Luke, Tessa and Brock Wrede; Clare Bohac and Haylee Faltys.
John was preceded in death by his father Richard Bohac, and grandparents Frank and Mary Bohac and Frank and Florence Kracl.
