Juanita Boyer Obituary

ALBION - Juanita M. Boyer, 69, of Albion, formerly of St. Bernard, rural Lindsay, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Boone County Health Center in Albion.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church ELCA in Madison, with the Rev. Norman Nelson officiating. Burial is at the City Cemetery in Humphrey.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Duesman Funeral Chapel in Humphrey, and from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Juanita was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Creston, Iowa, to Harvey and Eva (Smart) Schulz. She attended Nebraska Public School in Mead.

She married Ernest F. Boyer on June 15, 1957, at Alma Lutheran Church in Mead. She worked for Western Electric in Omaha, D&L and Appleton Electric, both in Columbus, and restaurants in Norfolk and Columbus.

Juanita was a member of Pets and People Humane Society. She attended country music contests as a craft vendor.

Survivors include one daughter, Anita (Casey) Thompson of St. Bernard; two sons, Gerald (Eileen) Boyer of Fremont, and Eugene Boyer of Albion; three grandchildren; and one brother, Harvey G. Schulz.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; and one grandson, Michael Thompson.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
