Kenneth "Kenny" W. Soulliere

March 20, 1941 - March 30, 2025

NORFOLK, NEB. - Funeral service for Kenneth "Kenny" W. Soulliere, 84 of Norfolk, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Norfolk.

Officiating the service will be Father Vincent Germace.

Private inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday with rosary starting at 7 p.m., at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk.

Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Post 16, V.F.W. Post 1644 of Norfolk, and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard. Kenneth died on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at his residence in Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth W. Soulliere was born on March 20, 1941, in Columbus, Neb. to Gerald and Julie (Kosinski) Soulliere and passed away March 30, 2025, in Norfolk at the age of 84 years, ten days.

Kenny grew up in Columbus where he attended St. Bonaventure Catholic High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on January 18, 1960, and was honorably discharged on January 17, 1964. After his service in the military, he began working for Gerhold Concrete in Columbus. On October 19, 1968, Kenny married Barbara Ann Foltz at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and have been married for 56 years. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Shelli, Kim, Kenny II, and Shaun. In 1969, he began working for NPPD as a Line Technician until his retirement in 2003, after 34 years.

After retirement, Kenny enjoyed watching and shuttling his grandchildren to and from activities. He enjoyed spending time working on his yard and sharing his advice with all who would listen. Kenny enjoyed grocery shopping, letting everyone know the specials around town. He also enjoyed his time camping, snow skiing, golfing, pheasant hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was known as the "Candy Man" for always sharing a Hershey Kiss or Butterscotch candies with all he met. Kenny was kind and willing to lend a helping hand anytime, whether asked or not. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W Post 1644 and a 50-year member of American Legion Post 16. Kenneth was a member of St. Mary's and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Shelli Hintz and husband, Tom; daughter, Kim Radenz and husband, Dan; son, Kenny II and wife, Rachelle, Lincoln; son, Shaun and wife, Miranda, Lincoln; nine grandchildren, Jared, Kendyl, and Courtney Hintz, Kenzie Radenz, Kaden and Kelan Soulliere, Kollyns, Beckham and Hendrix Soulliere; siblings, Jerilyn and husband, Dr. Ken Jordan, Riverside, Calif., Michelle Soulliere, Palm Desert, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Uzendoski; sister, Jean Kula; and father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Luella Foltz; brothers-in-law, Richard Foltz and Gene Foltz.
