SCHUYLER - Funeral service for 92-year-old Lillian Kluck, of Schuyler, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. Visitation will be held at the Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel on Monday from noon-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation on Tuesday will start at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Schuyler Cemetery.
Lillian was born Oct. 20, 1917, at the farm home of her parents, Jacob and Anna (Stibal) Abraham. She attended rural school District #6 and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1934. Lil taught rural school at District #16 for three years before she married Arnold Kluck at the First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler on Feb. 19, 1941. They farmed northwest of Schuyler until moving to Schuyler in 1978. Lil was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the UPWO and the Grandview Extension Club. She taught Sunday School Kindergarten for over five years and she and Arnold served as Skippers of the Mariners at the Presbyterian Church. Lillian died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Golden Livingcenter Assisted Living in Schuyler where she had been a resident since December of 2007.
Lillian is survived by her four children, Janice and Dennis Hawley, of Dubuque, Iowa, Larry and Sharon Kluck, of Lincoln, Ron and Carol Kluck, of Schuyler, and Ken and Jacquie Kluck, of Omaha; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes (Mrs. Robert) Raymond, of Lincoln.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold (April 4, 1998); sisters, Emily Sindelar, Anna Vrba, Mary Vrba and Helen Skarda; brothers, Jerry, Jack, Lewis, Ed and Joe Abraham.
Family suggest memorial to First Presbyterian Church or Schuyler Senior Center.
