COLUMBUS - Marilyn Jean Williams, 56, of Columbus, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Federated Church in Columbus.
Visitation is Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home.
Marilyn Jean Ambrose was born May 8, 1951, in Holdrege to Clayle Eugene and Anne (Frisell) Ambrose. She grew up in Gothenburg, McCook and Columbus, graduating from Columbus High School.
She married Craig Williams on January 24, 1969, in Columbus. The couple lived in Columbus all their life, where Marilyn has worked at Hy-Vee for 23 years.
Marilyn is a member of Federated Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, going to their sporting activities and NASCAR. Marilyn was active in various soccer organizations and kept statistics for Columbus High Girls Soccer for many years
She is survived by her husband, Craig Williams of Columbus; daughters, Chris Wiese of Columbus and Mindy (Jeff) Linden of Gardner, Kan.; mother, Anne McLoughlin of Lincoln; sisters, Jan (Terry) Sprieck and Linda (Dick) Harr, both of Lincoln; mother-in-law, Vera Williams of Fremont; brother-in-law, Jim (Pat) Williams of Irmo, S.C.; sister-in-law Loretta (Gary) Meistrell of Fremont; grandsons, Jake Linden of Gardner, Kan. and Mitch Flash and Josh Flash, both of Columbus; and granddaughter, Maddy Linden of Gardner, Kan.
She is preceded in death by her father, Clayle Eugene Ambrose; stepfather, Jim McLoughlin; father-in-law, Dean Williams; and her grandparents.
