COLUMBUS - Mary Ann Legenza, of Columbus, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at her home.
A private family service will be held. Interment will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
Mary Ann Legenza was born May 20, 1924, in Platte Center, to John and Balbina Bell (Koziol) Matya. She attended Platte Center Schools. On Feb. 10, 1943, she was united in marriage to Leonard Legenza in Schuyler. Mary Ann worked for Dale Electronics for 32 years until retiring in 1986. She enjoyed yard work, flowers and her animals
She is survived by daughter Jane (Harry) Prososki of Duncan; daughter-in-law Jean (Rodney) Ligenza-Dunson of Columbus; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters Alice Jarecki of Platte Center, Betty Bogus of Columbus and Florence (Herman) Carlson of Montana.
She was preceded in death by son Dick Ligenza; parents John and Bell Matya; husband Leonard Legenza; three sisters Annie, Dorothy and Sally; three brothers Johnnie, Edward and Frank; and five brothers-in-law.
