Myron Larson Obituary

STROMSBURG - Myron William Larson passed away on May 10, 2017, at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, May 12, at the Calvary Lutheran Church of Swede Home. Viewing will be 1-2 p.m., with funeral services following. Burial will be at Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, with military rites by the Stromsburg Legion Post, immediately following with Pastor Kimberly Belken and Pastor Bob Johnson officiating. Luncheon will follow Myron's burial at the Swede Home Church.

Myron was born July 12, 1924, to William and Esther (Peterson) Larson. He attended District #70 Country School and graduated from High Prairie School. He played basketball in high school, was a lifelong member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Swede Home and was on the board. He lived his entire life on a farm raising hogs and cattle corn and milo etc., except for his time in the Army during World War II.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 67 years Wanda (Johnson) Larson; daughters Nadine (Mike) Wielgus and Verlene (William) Dill; grandchildren Jason Yeager, Abbey (Levi) Wright and McKinzie (Mark Harsh) Lehr; great-grandchildren Kaylee, Connor, Callie, Leah and a boy on the way; sisters Ramona (Vance) Teegerstrom of Stromsburg and Loretta Mosier of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Esther (Peterson) Larson; son Russell; an infant daughter Rebecca; sisters Vivian Ekstrom and Florine Almstrom; and a brother Reuel.
