Patricia Ann Vrana, 87, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Butler County Health Care Center in David City, Neb.

Visitation was held Wednesday, May 14th, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service all at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Abie, Neb. Additional viewing will be Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m. with the Funeral Mass starting at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Abie. Interment will take place at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Abie, Neb. Memorials can be made out to Family Wishes. Moravec Johnson Mortuary in David City is handling the services.

Pat was born December 1, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kan., to Edward Joseph and Sclena Annedith (Sanders) Slavin. Her family moved to Douglas, Ariz., in 1941. Pat's father passed away when she was 18.

Pat received her education at Loretto Catholic Elementary, Douglas High School, and Tucson Beauty School.

Pat married Eldrid "Glen" Vrana on November 9, 1957 at Immaculate Conception Church in Douglas, Ariz. They have three children, Timothy Edward, Kim Colleen, and Tryci Sclena. They lived in Tucson, Ariz., until moving to their forever home in Abie, Neb., in 1969.

Her main occupation was being a homemaker, mother, and an artist. She belonged to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Abie and was a member of the Altar Society.

Pat loved art, receiving many awards and also having her work published several times. She and Glen attended many craft shows selling their work. Another love of hers was dance, starting lessons at the age of 4 and reconnected with dance (clogging) in her later years. She even became a welder. She loved spending time with her family,

Cherishing her love and memories are her children, Tim (Shirley) Vrana of Abie, Neb., Kim (Randy) Fuehrer of Abie, Neb., Tryci (Jeff) Greisen of Columbus, Neb.; grandchildren, Megan (Jordan) Jisa, Shawn Vrana, Natasha Fuehrer, Jordan Fuehrer, Noah Greisen, Cooper Greisen; great-granddaughter, Ella Rose Jisa; sister, Barbara Kataoka; cousin, Marilyn Rodman; sisters-in-law, Arnez Gans, Jane Grubbs; many nieces, nephews, friends, and her loving pups, Rebel & Gracie.

Preceding her in death were her parents; stepfather, Clyde Lawson; sister, Mary Colleen Slavin; brothers and sister-in-law, LaDellys Vrana, Roman & JoAnn Roubal, Darwin Gans, and Tetsuya Kataoka.
