July 18, 1931 - October 24, 2024
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Norman E. Tooker; daughter Lila L. Tooker; parents Harold and Helen Zeilinger; brother Robert Zeilinger.
She is survived by her son Russell N. Tooker and grandson Garrett J. Tooker; brother Howard Zeilinger.
Visitation to be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Funeral Home.
Funeral Service to take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church (324 So. Jackson St. Papillion, NE 68046).
Burial David City Cemetery to take place at 3:30 p.m.

When I first began teaching, Lila was in my English class and I was impressed with her intelligence. I had many talks with Phyliss about Lila and her achievements. For many years, my English room was across the hall from Phyllis's home economics room, so I was always aware of the food and/or fabric activities Phyllis was sharing with kids. After I was transferred back to the middle school from the high school, Phyllis befriended me still again and helped me adjust. I always treasured her friendship. Her expressions of love for her family impressed me and I was able to share her joy and pride concerning them.

Mrs. Tooker was the best. I took food´s I, II, & III plus class aid for three classes my senior year and they got me hooked "The Young and The Restless ". I loved her and Mrs. Allen. Plus she endured tragedy that not many people remember, I do. She was a tough gal.
