February 21, 1953 - September 12, 2025

Rodney Ditter, 72, of Monroe, died Friday, September 12 at his home.

Funeral service - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation - 4-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus, Interment at the Friends Cemetery.

Rodney Ditter was born February 21, 1953, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Henry and Mabel (Goedeken) Ditter. He graduated from Monroe High School. Rodney farmed all his life on the family farm near Monroe and was united in marriage to Cheryl Ingerslew. He served on the Oconee Township Board and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Cheryl; brother, Randy Ditter; stepdaughter, Margaret (Seth) Lange; grandchildren, Andersen, Madeline and Scarlet; and nieces, Anastasia, Kelley and Jessica. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mabel.

McKown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
