FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Sally V. Smolen, 91, of Farmington Hills, Mich., formerly of Omaha, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Omaha. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church in Omaha.
Sally was the beloved wife of the late John A.; loving mother of Mercy Sister Sally Anne and John F. (Paula "Molly"); cherished grandmother of John Paul (Jennifer), Joseph (Julianne), Jessica (Justin) Burtnett and James; great-grandmother of John Felix, Aurelia, Joseph, Abigail, Samuel, Madilyn and Lucia; cherished aunt of Greg Smolen and dear sister of Leo Lassek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her memory be made to the Solanus Casey Center (1780 Mt. Elliott Ave., Detroit MI 48207) or Mercy High School (1501 South 48th St., Omaha, NE 68106).
