Shirley was born July 28, 1928, in Rogers to Milferd and Agnes (Vittera) Lucke. She graduated from Schuyler High School and attended Business College in Omaha. On Jan. 15, 1949, she married her best friend, Bob Wolfe. Together they had a SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY. They lived and farmed northwest of Schuyler and eventually retired in town. Shirley had worked as school librarian, bookkeeper for her dad's plumbing business and was a secretary for Higgins Milling Company for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler and a long-time member and past officer of the Alegent-Creighton Health Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Schuyler. Shirley loved helping others. She cared deeply for her family and friends, never met a stranger and LOVED playing bridge. She was an inspiration and will be greatly missed.
