Susan Turner Obituary

Susan K. Turner

October 11, 1949 - January 4, 2025

Susan K Turner, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial in the Omaha National Cemetery will be at a later date.

Susan K Turner was born on October 11, 1949 to Clarence and Helene Miller in Ong, Nebraska.

Sue was united in marriage to Tony Turner on April 5, 1969, at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church in Hudson, North Carolina. To this union, the couple's two sons, David of Omaha, and Bradley of Bennington, were born.

Sue had a passion for the outdoors and nature. You could often find her tending to her beautiful flowers and bountiful gardens in the summer or working on her wonderfully meticulous Christmas light display in the winter.

Sue had a wonderful zest for life! Her sweet southern twang and friendly demeanor truly resonated with everyone. Her kind spirit and soft smile made it easy for her to befriend just about anyone she came across. She will be truly missed by all of those that were lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by: Sons: David Turner of Monroe and Bradley (Angela) Turner of Bennington, Grandsons: Sebastian and Drake of Bennington, NE, Brother John E Miller (Etta) of San Marcus TX, Brother Max A Miller (Jean) of Smithfield, VA, Sister Jodelle Richmond (Michael) of Lincoln, NE, Brother Ronald Miller (Carolyn) of Larimore, ND, and several Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

She is preceded in death by: Her husband: Tony Turner, Parents: Clarence and Helene Miller, Infant Grandson: Colton Bradley Turner, Sisters: Bonnie Etherton and Cynthia Shuck, Brothers: Robert Miller, Rolland D Miller, Gordon Stofer, Oscar J Miller, and Roger Miller.
