COLUMBUS - Todd Rudat, 62, of Columbus died Monday, May 28, 2012, at Genoa Long Term Care Center in Genoa.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 25th St., Columbus.
Viewing and visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home, Columbus and continues from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Family Prayer Service will be 10:15 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery with Military Honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Todd Rudat was born June 23, 1949 in Columbus to Coke and Vallie (Saline) Rudat. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1967. Todd joined the Army National Guard immediately following high school and served until 1991. Todd was employed at Becton-Dickinson for over 20 years. He enjoyed farm work especially repairing farm machinery. He also enjoyed mingling with friends while watching Nebraska football games and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by: son, Travis Rudat of McLean, Ill.; son, Tyler Rudat of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister, Kay (Phil) Johnson of Columbus; brother, Doug Rudat of Duncan; two nephews, Joshua Johnson and Bryce Rudat; one niece, Katrina Johnson
He is preceded in death by his parents Coke and Vallie Rudat.
